It is very important in IB Economics to be able to connect current real world examples to the topics we study. In IA this is the focus and even in the external assessment, you cannot reach the upper mark bands if you don't bring in real world examples.
So today we will first consider an investigation on Kognity into the supply of cobalt. Then you will find your own real life example of either a change in demand or a change in supply... the article should be recent (published within the last 12 months). You will link the article on a shared document which will be in Google Classroom - add a quick summary of the article and then make connections to the syllabus… this could be how it exemplifies something you have learnt in class, e.g. determinants of supply, the law of demand; or how it connects to one of the nine central concepts, e.g. choice, efficiency etc. |
